Rights of the Righteous

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

As we all should be aware of, the situation in Egypt has turned from bad to worst. It has even spread to other parts of the Middle East countries. This spirit of freedom is somehow outbursting from all parts of the countries.

A short vid clip about the chronology of what's happening  : HERE

Under the reign of Hosni Mubarak [for 30 years!], they have been denied of their total rights as the citizens. Not only that, being the ally of the West [u know who], the government [under his rule] has been denying the rights of Rafah where help cannot be transferred there. It's like having a blood related brother trying to sell of his own brother  [Muslim country helping the West to overtake the other Muslim country]

Some readings: HERE, HERE, HERE

It's a common fact that whenever a supposed-to-be peaceful demo turns out riotous, it must be because of the police force. Releasing all the tear gas and whatnot bullets and then accusing the people had turned out violent and aggressive.

This situation of wanting the government particularly H.B to step down might set a new ambiance to the whole crisis. The freedom of Al-Quds like we have been anticipating for all this while And I quote some spirited statuses from Ustaz Hasrizal:

Riot is not an easy option. People will only take to streets when they lost their confidence in the system and the politicians. Egypt is a strong reminder to those in power who shamelessly abuse our system!

Menjatuhkan Hosni Ghair Mubarak, bukan hanya untuk memulihkan Mesir, malah untuk membuka sekatan di Rafah! Palestin.... you'll find the way! Keep praying...  [translation: taking down Hosni Ghair mubarak is not only to improve Egypt, but also to open back the blocked passage in Rafah! ]

We still can't get through to the people there. The Internet is still down, miraculously, 'someone' released the prisoners and gave them weapons to run amok in the streets. The police aren't patrolling. People not involved in the riot are hiding in their homes fearing that someone would come knock their doors and rob them   [ whom? wallahu 'alam]. I got to know this from some friends, they hear gunshots most of the time right before their ears. Food supplies, water supplies have been cut down. For so many years, the Palestinians have been experiencing this situation. This might whisper the spirit of solidarity on a new level. Not just saying that we support our brothers and sisters but actually experiencing the same feeling  [ I guess]. Regardless, I do pray for their safety and well-being.

God knows until when this situation will prolong. At least until the people's demand is commenced. For Hosni Mubarak to step down. Enough is enough with your dictatorship. Enough is enough with your disloyalty towards your own people. Please step down nice and quietly already!

Those not affected, at least try to acknowledge this situation and know the truth about our brothers and sisters in Islam. Don't be so ignorant just because we are SO FAR away and that we should not bother [ no offense but I am quite disappointed by some people who's making fun about this matter]. This is a matter of solidarity among the Muslims throughout the world so please be a bit conscientious. [a reminder to myself]

Peace for freedom, inshaAllah!

Allahu musta'an....May He help those in the righteous path, ameen~

2)  The tense in Egypt is still on. I did follow the updates on Jazeera. Inspiring enough while all the chaos was happening, this was never left behind.....

protestors performing Isya'

Really worried about my friends and colleagues over there. Looking at the situation just now, it seems out of control. T_T

3)  Surprisingly, I received an email from the Prime Minister wishing a very happy CNY holiday. I was like  "awkward moment alert!". Are we being spied on?  o_O...wehoooo~~~

Praying the best for everyone out there.

On the other side of the world

If you have been following the world news, you might know what's happening in the Middle East. The latest update would be what's happening now in Egypt. I saw some trending in twitter and tumblr posts about the situation.

You can read it : HERE, HERE

No wonder my superiors were a bit quiet throughout this week. I don't want to jump any further into this matter but I do hope that everything will turn out well inshaAllah. Heard that there will be a BIG riot/demo after Jumaah Prayer [their time] today. UPDATED: I just got info from my colleague that my superiors can't work today. Maybe due to Internet disconnection and the riot...Hope everything is fine over there

On another side, I just saw this touching video. Very rare for me to post such thing but I just can't help not sharing it with others. I think this is so beautiful, in every possible way ^^

Be Grateful

When the self feels ungrateful, wanting to procrastinate,a sense of dragging in the heart, reminiscing the past and regretting some parts,

REMEMBER:

"If you tried to number God's blessings, you could never count them. God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surat an-Nahl: 18)

It's humane enough to have those 'down' moments but never make it a habit to feel that way all the time.

We may lack some things in life but try to open our eyes a bit wider and see, others may lack even more things than us, might be things that are crucially important for them but still, they can be a grateful fella. So, we should always have that sense of humility and gratefulness

Something to ponder for me~

As Dr.Fadzillah Kamsah always say: "Renung-Renungkan dan Selamat Beramal" !  =)

So I've been reading this novel "House Rules" as I ranted earlier. You know, where one of the characters has Asperger's Syndrome  [no I don't,watcha talkin' 'bout? ]

Here's the thing, I've always had so much passion in things regarding the brain. [cite2 dari dalam rahim mahu menjadi brain surgeon tsk2, sekarang dah jauhhhh benor melencong, xpe,He knows best ^^]. When we were required to take four Human Sciences subjects for course requirement, Psychology was my first choice, then Mass Comm, then Politikus Science, then History  [ a waste of time, why didn't I take Soca wai?!!!!]

Anyways, the condition in that class was a bit pathetic. There were around 50 plus students if not mistaken squeezing into that supposed to be big Lecture Theatre and unfortunately I'd be among the late-comers to that class because I had a class before that and it was far away so it took around 10 minutes to reach  [with maximum speed of walking that is! ]

So, being the late-comers mean I had to sit way up high the LT, the lecturer was a soft-spoken female lecturer which throughout the semester I could barely hear her voice plus the loud noises coming from the brothers. So, I just had to rely on my book and the fast-est slide show presentation in front.

But, the subject was interesting, I got to learn so many things like sleep apnea, all those disorders, OCD,CDD, etc2 on it's basic parts je lah. Some psych father figures that I can still remember would be Wilhelm Wundt,Sigmund Freud, Ivan Pavlov,Carl Jung....ok sampai situ je ingat sebab ambik subjek ni waktu first year T_T

*scroll balik atas rupa2nya dah lari topik*

Coming back to the book. Jacob has AS . He's 18 and has the perfect figure of a macho teen except his mind can't function like one. He has like super intelligent brain. Among the traits of him that would generalize an AS patient would be:

-takes thing in their literal meaning.  [e.g: "I'm going to die" (jokingly]  but they will understand it as real]
-extreme obsession over organized stuffs. Everything must be placed in order, perfectly
-avoids eye contact and hates being touched
-has no clue of body language and normal human emotions
-hates loud voices
-having plans change  [ so everyday activities must be followed exactly as planned]
the colour orange  [ this one is quite confusing because the character in My Name is Khan hated yellow]
-social interactions
-can experience "meltdowns" or goes into an extreme "rage"

Those are among the traits I've came across. I've never met anyone with AS before. AS is also a type of autism if not mistaken. Once, in my uni, I had a classmate who had "Schizophrenia". She was quite a bright student, always asking questions to the lecturers eventhough sometimes it had no relations with the subject whatsoever. I didn't know she had Skitz but I noticed she was different. Sometimes she talks to herself, smiles and giggles. I thought she was a bit "pagal"  [ish3 xbaik!] and eventually someone told me she had Skitz. She was nice though :). REMEMBER,don't look down upon people like them, they are human beings like us as well. And there shouldn't be this overgeneralization of who's normal and who's not. Who knows, today is their time...later on, us? na'uzubillah~~~~

Ok, I'm not even sure what I wanted to write actually. Sometimes here sometimes there. Prolly, me, myself am out of my mind. I just wanted to write something.

Hope you guys enjoyed being confused reading my post for today...haha

I need to re-read some research papers and understand how to write nicely. Intro- body paragraph-conclusion. Missing my good old days, again!

News2

So I decided to watch the news today. Some 'hot' news:

-A mom stabbed her baby child 5 times to death T_T
-A mom who was accused for drowning her baby in the toilet was released from death sentence because the court couldn't prove any prima facie
-the 'terrorist' attack at the airport in Moscow

Regular sickening news:

-Politics....the way they try to make people see what they 'want' is just so disappointing.

I wonder.....where are the news pertaining the Mavi Marmara's attack? the flood? something useful?

Nothing interesting and totally disappointing! T_T

RemindeR

[Narrated by Ibn al Sunni in ‘Amal al-Yaum wa al-Lailah and al-Hakim said it is sahih. (1/499). Al-Albani also said this hadith is sahih (Sahih al-Jami’, 4/201).]

Antonym for jobless? hehe

Bila kita tak putus harap kepada Allah dalam apa jua keadaan, Dia akan berikan ganjaran terindah kepada kita

So today one of my sweet friend made a status about her being offered a nice job from a nice company and the best part would be: if she is accepted, she'll be based overseas. MashaAllah! Wow wow!

So envious and happy for her! :)

To you [you know whom are you, tehee], my dear, mabruk and all the best.....just accept the offer and do your best!! =)

Modesty

"Abdullah ibn Mas'ud relates that one day the Prophet said, 'Be shy of Allah (God) Most High as much as is His due.' The companions present said, 'All praise to Allah, we are shy of Him.' The Prophet said, 'That is not the point. Whoever is shy of Allah as much as is His due, he should protect his head and that which it comprises (i.e. mind, mouth, ears), his stomach and that which is adjoining it (i.e. preserve it from unlawful wealth and protect the private parts from the unlawful), and he should remember death and that which is to come after it; and whoever desires the Hereafter should abandon the adornments of this world. Whoever fulfills these duties has been shy of Allah as much as is His due.'" (Musnad Ahmad)

Today I want to talk a little bit about modesty. Defining the term according to my personal lexicon would akin to moderate/down to earth, humble....orang melayu kata "besederhana"

This word is tough, both in meaning and practice. Easy said than done, easy done than maintaining it.

Just look around us, what do people don't show? qualifications? wealth? social status? assuming that we act, walk, talk, wear something better than others? even the high level of 'knowledge' that we may have as compared to others in whatever significant field. Ok, don't look so far, just look into ourselves..... [let's do some reality check shall we?]

As I recall back some of the people that I can still remember from my past, one thing I could line out from all of them. Their natural feature of being a modest person. Some are too humble even though they score like crazily high in exams, some keep their wealthy family's background a secret, some who wears simple same fashion from the first time I met until the end, the ones who appear rough but actually has a soft hard, the ones who'd buy extra fish at the cafeteria just to feed the stray cats around the mahallah, the ones who'd help out another person even though they are already tied to their schedule........those who have their unique way of portraying that act of kindness.

Personally, people who possess and could portray that feature could really catch my heart. Being modest and humble....it's something that I would love to see in people, to be and hope that everyone could be [to be or not to be, that is the question....shakespeare sikit].  By that, all of us could be a grateful human being for whatever we have and always remember to thank Him....the Possessor and Giver....thank you Allah =)

Let's be humble, be nice to people, be courteous, be grateful and many more of the mahmudah features ^^

Taf tapi bukan mustahil, chayok2 buat kita semua!!!

Super excited to know that another classmate from school [Sarah MR] will be entering the marriage life. Quite shocked actually when I saw her status just now but still, feel so happy for her. She ignited the element of surprise because I see most of her friends are also shocked like me. That's a good thing because Islam has taught to keep it low when you get engaged and spread the joyful moment  [invitation to ] of Nikah to everyone you know. The Walimah Day will be held during the early of March so inshaAllah I'll make myself available. Can make a reunion with  her and my SMIH friends....it's been a longggggg time since I last saw most of them T_T. Prays to Allah that everything will be smooth and nicely for them, ameen =)

"Who Created Allah?"

[a friend shared this note in FB]

Taken from
Silsilah Ahadeeth As-Saheehah
of
Shaykh Al-Albaani

Translated by
Abbas Abu Yahya

Shaykh al-Albani refutes this doubt by researching the following Ahadeeth:
On the authority of ‘Aa’ishah-Radi Allaahu anha - who said that the Messenger of Allaah-
sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said: ‘If the Shaytan comes to one of you and says: ‘Who created
you?’ say ‘Allaah.’ Then he will say: who created Allaah? So if one of you finds this situation then say: ‘I have believed in Allaah and His Messengers.’ This doubt will then leave you.’
Narrated by Ahmad graded Hasan by Albani [saheehah 116]

In another narration also in Saheehah (Hadeeth No.117), the Prophet-sallAllaahu alayhi wa
sallam- said: ‘The Shaytan comes to one of you and says: ‘Who created this? Who
created that? Who created this? Until he says who created your lord? So if this
reaches you then seek refuge in Allaah and it will end.’
Narrated by Bukhari, Muslim and Ibn Sunni.

In the wording narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of Allaah-sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-
said:
‘The people will question one another so much that one of them will say: So Allaah
created the creation, then who created Allaah Azza wa Jal? So if they say this, then
say:

<< Say: He is Allaah, The One.Alla ahus-Sama d, He does not beget nor was he
begotten, and there is none like unto Him. >>
Then he should spittle to his left three times and seek refuge from the Shaytan.
Narrated by Abu Dawood & Ibn Sunni and graded Hasan by Albani.

2
Then Shaykh Albani comments by saying:
Fiqh al-Hadeeth:

These authentic Ahadeeth indicate that it is obligatory for the one Shaytan whispers
to, by saying ‘who created Allaah?’, that he turns away from debating with him and
responds with what was mentioned in the previous Ahadeeth, the summary of which
is:

I have believed in Allaah and His Messengers. ‘He is Allaah, The One,Al la ah us-Sa ma d,
He does not beget nor was He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.’ Then he
should spittle to his left three times and seek refuge from the Shaytan. This (then)
stops him from being carried away by the whisperings of Shaytan.

I truly believe that whoever does this sincerely, out of obedience to Allaah and His
Messenger, these whisperings will definitely leave him and his Shaytan will be defeated
due to the saying of the Messenger of Allaah-sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-: ‘Then this doubt will
leave you.’

This noble prophetic teaching is more beneficial and more definitive against
whisperings than intellectual debate in this issue, since it is very rare that such a debate
will be beneficial. What is sad is that the majority of people are neglectful of this
noble prophetic teaching! So take heed O Muslims, learn the Sunnah of your Prophet
and implement it, in it is cure and honour for you.’

[Silsilah Saheehah: 118]

All Praise belongs to Allaah, may His peace
and blessings be upon our final
Prophet Muhammad, his
family, his companions
and all those who

follow his

guidance.

“Where did God come from?”

Responding to the question you raised, Sheikh Yusuf Estes, a prominent Muslim scholar and director of Islamtomorrow.com, states the following:

“I like your question and may Allah always make us of those who seek true knowledge to better understand our purpose of this life, Ameen.

This question has to be evaluated on its merits and restated according to Islamic understandings.

First and foremost, Muslims do not compare Allah to His creation. Therefore, the question can be answered as such due to the fact that Allah is completely Exalted and far above mortal description; He is not “like” His creation.

Allah tells us in His Book that He is “As-Samad” (The eternally Besought of all). He is also the “Al-Awwal” (First) and the “Al-’Akhir” (Last) He is without beginning or end. This is how He always was and always is, and always will be, so to speak.

Second, Islam is clear on the issue of asking questions about Allah, warning people against being influenced by such question which could plant doubt into someone’s mind or drive him away from the Right Path.

Let us consider the Hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wherein he mentioned that the Shaytan (Satan) will come to you and trouble you with questions like: “Who created this or that?” To which you would logically respond: “Allah.” Until he would come to the question: “Then who created Allah?” At which point the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us to say: “I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.” And then leave off this train of thought. (Reported by Muslim)

You might also consider similar questions that the enemies of Islam have used for centuries to weaken one’s faith in the existence of Allah.

To illustrate:

When the disbelievers come to you and ask you if you believe in God, you would logically reply: “Yes.”

Then they would ask you: “Can your God do anything?” You would say: “Yes.”

Then they would ask you: “Can your God make something huge?” You would say: “Of course.”

They would say: “Can your God make something so big that nothing can move it?” Then you would say: “Yes.”

Then they would say: “You mean that your God could make something so big that nothing could ever move it?” Again, you say: “Yes.”

Then they say: “So big that even your God can’t move it?” Now you have a problem.

Either you answer: “Yes.” They will say: “Then that means your God cannot do everything. Because now there is something that your God cannot do. He cannot move the object.”

But if you answer: “No.” They will simply say: “Then this is something that your God cannot do.”

This is a similar problem to the one you have mentioned. This is the idea of a god that is having problems with his own creation. The concept of Allah in Islam is that He is never compared to His creation. He merely says: “Be.” And it is. So, Allah does not operate like a human or anyone or anything within His creation. Within the laws of creation is the rule that nothing moves except that there is a fulcrum, a lever and a force. Allah does not have to use a fulcrum and lever to move anything. One of His attributes is that He is “Al-Qawiyy” (The All Powerful).

So, He is the Power. He does not come under the rules of His creation. He makes the rules. He operates within His own rules; He changes His rules as He pleases, and according to the way He deems fit. That is the understanding of the Muslims.

I managed not to blog anything yesterday....yeah because I was suppperrr busy [lah sgt]

Anyhoos, today I'm gonna talk about BELOG/BLOG and everything related to it.

First things first, let's define what is a BLOG?

As the clever Wiki said:

A blog (a blend of the term web log)[1] is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites  [pesanan penaja, jgn copy-paste sebijik sebajak kedalam kertas kerja universitas ye...budak kecik pun boleh buat kalau gitu, xpyh masuk U]

Simply Siti said, a blog is a platform of expression. To express ourselves on whatever we want to express.

This brings us to the second point: WHAT DO WE BLOG ABOUT?

Well, that depends on the individuals themselves. Some love to share everything about themselves, from the time they get up until the end of the day. Some express mushy stuffs, some express their obsessions with cats, stems, PS3 [ok, ni semua contoh], WHILE others like to send beneficial messages, very informative with all valid quotes and resources. Others include writing about assignments, works, putting random videos, RECIPES!, selling stuffs  [Online Shopping Blogs] and many many more.

WHAT DO WE GET FROM IT?

Satisfaction- knowledge - an active working brain- improvements

As for me, I had always enjoyed writing. Not anything specific per-say, just writing and it can be anything. I used to write diaries and I had those colourful, with a little lock and scented diaries when I was a teen. Luckily it went missing after some time, if not, gue harus malu membacanya, xkental lah derr tulis2 dlm diary ni. Well, it happened a million years ago...hoho.

As time pass by, humans were bombarded with the Internet penetration and people started socializing virtually, world-widely. [lol, ni mcm ayat2 paperwork kelas comp app ja]. Came along all the friendster, twitter, myspace, facebook and whatnots and not to forget the BLOG.

I was seduced by my sweet gorgeous mom-to-be-in-a-couple-of-months friend, Mrs.E/S to create my own blog. I vaguely remembered that she loves me writing  [correct me if I'm wrong ye dear...hehe]. So, then I started blogging. At first, I only wrote rubbish and nonsensical stuffs. Stuffs that was not that kental and beneficial but did suffice my dissatisfaction about a certain someone or two  [oh, how stupid!]. Gradually, I became wiser [nak jugak tu] and tried to keep my lines a bit, reader friendly and beneficial [ a bit lah], inshaAllah that is =)

The positive impact and this is talking personally, by blogging, it has helped me to keep my brains active and have a sense of control so whenever there's a sudden test or POP quiz or whatever writings need to be done in the classroom, I'd be prepared. You know, to goreng the sentences, LOL

Besides blogging, I also love to blog hop. I read blogs of assortment. You name it. From young married couples blogs, young mothers blogs, a chain of siblings blogs, Islamic fashionistas blogs, inspirational blogs, Islamic blogs and those miscellaneous blogs  [which I see is quite similar to mine...hehe ]. But, I don't see a lot of men writing because men are known to be sssooo masculin till they find it not macho to express their thoughts. I do read some but there aren't many  [or they hide behind a girls identity? wallahu 'alam]. Men were known to be good writers back then, during the age of WW1 and WW2 so that's very impressive to me.

I think it's good to write. Especially if you want to improve something out of you. Your language sense maybe? Weak in English? So write in English? apa? malu takut org gelak grammar berterabur? lor pedulik kan mereka, mereka bukan kasi duit beli beras pun. A wise person, instead of bashing people for their courage to improve, tries to share a thing or two of what they know so that knowledge is spread and not kept to rot unused.

Of course there will also be these people [also known as creepy anons ] who don't have a life or probably don't know how to blog that will pest your way or they might disagree with some of your thoughts. Just let them be and keep on doing what you're good at. I had those anon times, they are such joy to my eyes =)

So, I think that's all for today. Hope some of you did read this entry until the end....hehe....Happy blogging to all bloggers and happy stalking blog-hopping to all blog-hoppers. And yes, as much as we love to tell everything, try to keep some as secrets because words these days spread faster than diseases =). But, there's always an easy way out, make that really2 personal blog private.

Till then,

Crapping

So tomorrow my family are coming. I am so uberly excited! See, the thing is, when I was all alone in Malaysia when they weren't here, I wasn't that psyched up. Well, mostly because I was still a uni student. With my friends,so whenever I felt lonely, I'd just hang out with them or atleast I go and repent spend my time at SHAS MOSQUE Lev 2 or go to the TV area at my Mahallah or go kacau my neighbouring dorm mates. Atleast I'm with another soul ya know? But,this time around, the case is different. My friends are all over Malaysia and mostly have started working, married, busy with their studies excetera2. Working life and study life, both have their similarities in terms of giving my so-called commitment. But, the difference is, I have no friends to hang out with anymore. In this situation, even if I wanted to do so, it can only be done during the weekends which I so need to rest or I have to go out to places which need money  [transport+eat+others].

So, yeah, better I convert it to something that requires less money....blogging? blog-hopping? reading? listening to N.A.K's and other beneficial vids so on so forth.

My previous blogs, I'd always jot down my activities  [recap: semasa bergelar pelajar]. When I read them again, first I'd slap myself for the terrible language usage  [which seems poorer up till now, haih!], then I would laugh to myself because of the funny things I used to do. Aah yeh yaadein hai T_T

I said to myself that i would keep this blog as informative as I could but.........Okay, I'll take this entry down later [or will I not? it's my blog ] so pardon me okay ? :)

p/s: kenapa feedjit jadi kaler pink2 ni? I zon't like! xdak tukar setting pun...huhu

Anyways, I wanted to share a short note. I just got to know a virtual friend of mine is going to undergo a surgery. I thought it was just a minor surgery for something minor but what happened to be the case is that, she has Ovarian Cancer. Frankly speaking, I'm not much of a sweet talker nor a good consoler [Alexithymia] but people can come and share anything with me. I may handle situations differently but alhamdulillah my friends seem to acknowledge that =). So I just wished her the very best, that I'll pray for her [and inshaAllah I will], and I shared with her one of late Mas Afzal's sayings  [refer on the rigt side of this blog]

My point is, everything that we have now is not even ours. Everything is lent. So let us be grateful with everything that we have and don't. One day we're all happy and healthy but can we guarantee the same situation the next day? Wallahu a'lam T_T

Random

This is so much of a random post. Today is Tuesday with Morrie. Life is moving so stagnantly. Oh,wrong adjective. Life is moving fine, alhamdulillah.Tomorrow my family is coming to spend the public holiday+weekends with me, weeeeee! :D. Thursday is a public holiday but I will be working. I don't mind working on that day because I will have to work on Friday anyway so what's the point?

I just can't wait for the CNY's holiday!!! I've applied my leave and my boss has already approved it so again, I can't wait!!! it's on a Thursday and Friday :)

So,because I'm being random, I'll randomly share some random stuffs I happened to find in my other escapism:

I've finished reading "Remember Me" after a long duration since the day I bought it. It wasn't a very interesting book, the storyline was a bit twisted and hanging till the ending. Luckily I just bought it for 50 pence at the CarbootSale. Now, I've started reading "House Rules" and I know it won't not be a long process because Jodi Picoult's books never fail to capture my time. Then I'll proceed with Tuesdays with Morrie given by a virtual friend. However, it's a PDF book but never mind, won't buy it anyways :P. If I'm rajin enough, inshaAllah I'll share some of what I read here especially "House Rules" because of the main topic of Asperger's Syndrome, like like like!

and oh yes, as you can see on the right side below the "about me" section, I've put a virtual iPod Nano with a list of three beautiful nasheeds. I didn't put it on autoplay mode because I don't want to cause any mild heart attacks once coming to my blog  [as if byk sgt...hehe]. Click play if you're intested to listen to my current likings =)

Till then,

Make Me Strong

Direct Link =)

I know I’m waiting
Waiting for something
Something to happen to me

But this waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Nothing in life is free

I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day I’ll be ok
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
Help me find my way

My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong

Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong

I know I’m waiting
Yearning for something
Something known only to me
This waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Life is one mystery

I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day you’ll forgive me
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
I beg for your mercy

My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong

Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong

Zindagi ek safar

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

I just read late Mas Afzal's blog where his mom is now writing in it and I just couldn't help myself from not being inspired again and again. MashaAllah, such a soul. The picture where he performed his solah despite his condition was really awe inspiring.

Frankly speaking, I am so envious of him. He's physically no longer in this world but what he left behind seems to be his ongoing 'profit'. He has touched so many hearts, be it the people whom personally knew him or the ones who saw his video and read his writings  [I'm one of the thousands in this category]

So I ask myself; If my time came, how would I be remembered? what would I be remembered for? will I be remembered?

Abu Qataadah rahimahullaah reported that Allaah's Messenger sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: "The best that a man can leave behind after his death are three things: a righteous child who makes du'aa for him, an ongoing sadaqah whose rewards continue to reach him, and a knowledge that continues to be implemented after him." (Ibn Maajah, and others. Verified to be sahih by al-Mundhiri and al-Albaanee).

Three. Only three will become our 'ongoing profit' in the hereafter. So which one will become my 'profit'? let's ask ourselves that question T_T

For a fact, I want to [and I should] live my life with a meaningful purpose. To continue being inspired and share a little bit of the inspirations with my everyone I know so we can benefit from the beautiful inspirations together.

Life in this world is not forever but we tend to act contradict to that fact, right? That's why we need to be reminded from time to time. We need to remind ourselves that life is short and there's 'somewhere' that we'll go after this and that 'somewhere' is an eternal resting place. Surely we want to have the best-est eternal resting place? :)

"Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned." (Al-Ankabut:57)

Allah.....Our sole creator. From Him we came and unto Him shall we return. So, it is unto Him we should seek help, forgiveness and to guide us to the right path.

Alas, let's make the best out of our life shall we? :)

EAR CANDY CATCHES TO THE SOUL :)  <--kelik lah

Wallahu 'alam.

I love quotations and reminders! So why not share them here too...hee.

Life's short, make it a meaningful one. On top of that, make it a blessed one, blessed by Him our creator :)

ni dah terlebih fokus! :P

In whatever you do, you must STAY FOCUSED!

or else you might end up like this situation : you decided to boil some eggs to make egg salad. You waited for the water to hot boil itself. You hold two eggs with one hand. Your mind is elsewhere [let's say: work?]. Your eyes however managed to capture the boiling sensation and you wanted to put in the eggs. Instead, you boiled your empty hand assuming you were holding the eggs with that hand. Epic kan?

So, stay focused on what you are doing/on what you are aiming for. Never get distracted, not even for a minute! LOL

What a funny busy week I had  *giggles*

Wanna see something really funny?

LOL!

I'll leave the entry title-less

Happy Weekends!

2011

A year which will witness many many more of my dear friends getting engaged and married and delivering cute babies ^^

But,that's not my focus point.

I just got the information that another friend will be pursuing her Masters in September T_T

That is an overwhelming news for me.

Me? wallahu'alam. My dream is big and I cannot rush into things just because I'm dying to further my studies. I miss 'school', I really do T_T

There's been some changes in my plan  [because we humans can only plan but Allah has the power to grant it or not ] BUT my dream lives on.... Allah knows best =)

We'll see how it goes from now.....I don't want to overthink about this matter at the moment

To all who will be on your way to do your M.A, I [in a positive way] envy you guys ^_____^!!!

The good thing about this would be: I have ample time to think what course I want to pursue...still linguistics? sociolinguistics? psychology? [maybe because that's the closest to the brain which I totally adore since schoolhood], translation? [hmm....30/70 not],sociology? [maybe]......think think think  [but don't overthink....hehe]

pardon me, this was only a monologue/stress relief session....hohoho

*tadi baca dua2 blog lama and gelak sorang2 bc kisah2 ketika masih bergelar pelajar lagi,ok now that explains the melancholic reminiscence

WIR CAMPAIGN

and I quote from kak sueannajoe

"Menutup aurat secara sempurna. It's not easy. It's a process. But for the love of Islam and Allah, let us improve ourselves both spiritually and physically. For those who are wearing the hijab, let's do it right!

Apa kata kita mulakan dengan melabuhkan hijab, shawl, pashmina, scarf, tudung kita biar menutup dada. Hopefully I can commit to this. Sebab aku pon selalu je selempang tudung. It's not nicelah. Dada tu sebenarnya lebih menggiurkan dari rambut.

So do join this campaign! Spread it in your own blog, tumblr, etc. Kalau korang nak print buat fliers pon boleh gambar ni aku bagi kebenaran. Sangatlah dialu-alukan.

Oh by the way, WIR stands for Wear It Right. Hehe. So come on girls, let's do this. Covering the chest is the best!"

She's quite well known in the blogging world. I saw this campaign and straight away felt the need to spread the words around because it's a very good reminder.

As we can see nowadays, more and more 'head covers' fashion are mushrooming with all the tangling wrapping techniques and rainbow paddle-pop colours BUT it does not go in-line with the true meaning of how to COVER YOUR AURAH PROPERLY.

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest.” (An-Nur: 30-31)

So, this is a good start to revise back the actual way to cover the aurah.

Hijab is a start.....it's even better if you loose what's tight and make long what's short to complement it  =)

The simpler the better.Avoid tabarruj. Be modest, in what you wear, what you do and what you say  [ouch!]

I'm spreading it around to all beautiful Muslimah [including myself huahua] out there!! =)

News

I'm not the news type person ever since I started to have a clear vision of how the 'system' works but today I had some spare time  [read: less works wehooo!] so I thought, why not, let's watch some news shall we?

bla3 dirty politic games [blerghhh]......bla3 a guy faking a heart attack to prevent himself from getting caught by the police due to 'illegal' gambling activities  [judi haram, harap maklum].....bla3 3 year old girl died to what seems the C.O.D was 'abuse' but reported as "lemas" [ bla3 means this kind of situation seems already like a common thing happening here....innocent children are put to the deathbed as if they are not worth anything  *sigh*].....bla3 young girl suffered because dad threw acid at her face.....bla3 this 'group' does not want to release that 'player' and accuse that 'ex-trainer' as having a hidden agenda to establish a new group   [oh c'mon, ever heard of 'persaingan sihat' or not?]

The only news that fascinated me was the heavy flood in Brisbane and the yet to be found dead bodies of the earthquake victims in Haiti............how fascinating that in one place people are dealing with such situations. May Allah bless us all~

But, here.....seems like problems are welcomed instead of preventing it from happening......na'uzubillah

I have no intentions to blame the news reporters, the broadcasters and whomever related  [because I know no works are easy works ] but please... provide more decent and worth of watching news. Please provide unbiased news pleaseeeeee  T_T. I need to acquire 'general'  legit knowledge, not dramas. Plus, some news are not suitable to be shown as people with 1001 unique minds might....ermmm....copycat?  [hint: fake heart attack or ideas on how to kill a child and make it look like an accident?]

or maybe of all days, only the day I watched it, the news weren't that fascinating?wallahu'alam

LOL,tgk berita emo mcm tgk cerita hindi pasaipa?

Peace! =)   [smiley to sign politeness]

A Touching Tale - Sa’ad AlAswad AlSulumi

As usual, I'll post whatever interesting/inspiring notes that I read in tumblr,

A story about  Sa'ad A-Aswad Al-Sulumi......MashaAllah~

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

At the time of the prophet, pbuh, a man came to the prophet named Sa’ad AlAswad AlSulumi and asked him, “Oh, messenger of Allah, will I also enter into jannah.”

The messenger responded, “Of course you will enter into jannah if you are a believer.”

Sa’ad responded, “But me, I’m regarded as low amongst the believers.”

The prophet said, “Oh Sa’ad for you is the same reward as the rest of the believers,”

And Sa’ad asked, “then why would no one give me their daughter to marry.”

The prophet told him to go to Ibn AlWahab, and he was one of the leaders of Medina who had just embraced Islam, and his daughter was known for her beauty.

The prophet told Sa’ad go to Ibn AlWahab and tell him that I have sent you to request his daughters hand in marriage.”

Sa’ad went to the home of Ibn AlWahab looking for him. He was besides himself with excitement. He knocked on the door and said to Ibn AlWahab, The prophet has sent me to request your daughters hand in marriage.

Ibn AlWahab exclaimed, “You! To my daughter! Don’t you know my daughter! She’s known for her beauty,” and he told Sa’ad to go home.

As Sa’ad began to walk away, the daughter heard this, and said, “Oh father, wait. Wait! This is a request of the Messenger of Allah. Where will we be if we turn down a request of the prophet?! Where will we be if we turn away from the concerns of the messenger?! I’ll tell you where we will be. We will be where we are!”

And she turned to Sa’ad and said, “Go to the messenger of Allah, and tell him I am ready to marry you.”

Sa’ad went to the prophet and he was elated! The prophet married them with a  dowry of 400 dirhams.

Upon hearing that amount, Sa’ad exclaimed, “400 dirhams! Oh messenger of Allah, I have never even seen 400 dirhams!

The prophet instructed him to go to Ali AlNu’man ibn Awf and Uthman and tell them each to give you 200 dirhams each. They both gave him more than 200 dirhams. On his way home to see his wife, he decides to stop by the marketplace to buy some gift for his beautiful wife.

While at the market place, he hears the call to arms to prepare for battle. Sa’ad stood where he was and looked into the heavens. He said, “Oh Allah, I will buy something with this wealth that will please you. Oh Allah.” He bought a sword and a horse and he covered his face from the view of the messenger. He knew that if the prophet saw him he would send him home because he had just gotten married.

The Sahabi were questioning, “who is this man riding into battle with his face covered?” Ali replied, “He is coming to fight, leave him.” Sa’ad valiantly rode into battle, and eventually his horse was struck. He stood up, and the prophet saw his dark skin. The prophet asked him, “Oh Sa’ad is that you?!” Sa’ad said, “May my mother and my father be sacrificed for you oh messenger of Allah. It is Sa’ad. Muhammad, pbuh, said,

“Oh Sa’ad there is no other abode for you but jannah.” He heard this and jumped back into the battlefield.

After a while, people called that Sa’ad was wounded. The prophet ran into the battlefield. He ran to find Sa’ad. He took the head of Sa’ad and placed it in his lap. The tears of the prophet were flowing and falling onto the face of Sa’ad. The prophet was crying profusely. After a while, he started to smile, then he looked away. There was a sahaba named Abu Lubaba, who said “Oh Rasullulah, I saw you do something, I’ve never seen you do before. First you cried, then you smiled, then you looked away.” The Messenger said, “I cried because my beloved companion passed away. And I saw his sacrifice and his love for me. But when I saw his fate is by Allah, he had reached the hawd.” Abu Lubaba said, “What is the hawd?” He responded, “it is a fountain from which if a person drinks from, they will never be thirsty again. It is sweeter than honey and whiter than milk. And when I saw his status by Allah, I began to smile. Then I saw his wives in jannah running towards him with such eagerness that their shins were being exposed, so I looked away.”

Then the prophet came towards the sahaba and asked them to bring Sa’ad’s horse and sword. He then told them to take them to Sa’ad’s wife, and tell her that they were her inheritance. And also inform her that Allah has given Sa’ad wives in jannah even more beautiful than she is.

This was a man, who a while ago, didn’t know if he would attain jannah. He had no status in society. But look at his status by Allah! Because he lived- he died-  for Allah.

May Allah make us all people who live for the sake of Allah, swt. May Allah make us all people whose khair is revealed to everyone. May Allah keep us united in this dunya. May Allah reunite us all in AlFirdaws.

Beautiful right? SubhanAllah~
