"Lepaskan Aku Pergi" gave one life lesson: In order to be rich, don't go for the 'dark' path [ dealing drugs] because it's haram in terms of religion and it's dangerous in all manners whatsoever.
Money is not everything but everything nowadays need money. You can always generate ways to gain more money as long as it does not go against the Islamic rules and it is spent for a good cause.

From Sajid's status:
Rasulullah Shollallahu alaihi wasallam miskin tapi tak halang kita kaya, tak halang kita cari sebanyak mana kekayaan.. Rasulullah SAW miskin kerana nak tunjuk pada kita bahawa yg penting adalah di 'sana'... kalau kamu berpakaian cantik di dunia, jangan kamu berpakaian huduh di 'sana'... (tadzkirah dari radio)

I am realistic about the fact that money sure is important [those not in favor may sit down quietly and remove your presence now thank you] especially when everything is so expensive nowadays. Expensive here means daily necessities, not a 6-12K's worth of ridiculous looking handbags! [no offense].
At the single, alone and lonely [motiff kaw?] level, we must think of personal expenses especially when we have a job already, then giving some to parents who've worked hard enough to raise us and give us the best education, the best life, then to start paying our education debts [babuji kata toksah ambik ptptpu getik jgk nk ambik...haha]....then for some, collecting money for marriage, for Master, future investments [ok, I still have a longggg way to go]
At the family-hood level, must think of daily/weekly/monthly groceries, bills, kids education, health ,excetera2
and it goes on and on at different levels
Long story short, we need money for most of the above mentioned points but....BUT....never try to earn money from a prohibited source [ HARAM source that is]
Another reminder.....we can always earn more and more money but we must also remember that we can't bring money with us when we die so 'beringat-ingatlah" <---- dear me, take not ok?
And....most importantly....never forget that Allah has the rights to give and take back whatever we have so must always give thanks to Him upon receiving and also losing. Refer back to Al-Baqarah verse 216 =)
* so many errors and typos, grrr!!
