Finally got to watch 127 Hours and it was really emotional! It was made based on a true story of Aron Lee Ralston and James Franco [superbb!] did a wonderful job acting as Aron.
127 Hours is about a mountain climber, Aron Ralston , who became trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah for more than five days before amputating his arm with a dull knife in April 2003. [wiki]
Well, basically the movie started off with Aron waking up one day and just took off to this big cliff without informing anyone. At first he went there by car, then he took his bike but settled with walking/hiking the cliffs. He met two random ladies before he proceeded with his adventure until he fell down at one cliff and a big boulder trapped his right arm. His water and food supplies lasted him until day 4 if not mistaken [he even drank his own urine!!!] and at day 5,when he seemed like he was dying, he managed to amputate his right arm and walked out from the cliff before some other hikers helped him. While being trapped down there he also recorded himself via his video recorder and gave messages to the people he loves. T_T
It was emotional because life flashes to him and he realizes how he had neglected his parents [didn't pick up his mom/s phone call], his gf, his life [he was an engineer but it wasn't focused much in the movie...read about the real Aron] and when he carved his own name, date of birth and expected date of decease [well, his right arm was left behind at the boulder] and of course, when he amputated his own arm! [I muted this part..huhu]
This is the real Aron:
He is still climbing up until now...............
"Appreciate everything that you HAVE before it becomes a thing that you HAD"
Wow... its really a great movie tho I don't watch it yet :P based on the trailer, its really an inspiring story and teaches someone what to do in order to survive in any unexpected circumstance, we have to do everything and even to drink our own urine ... uhhh :P thats really a soul survivor movie ;)a lesson that I can take from this movie, do inform someone wherever we go coz basically some might think an unplanned journey is quite exiting but at the same tyme evil expectation could hunt our back :D
ReplyDeleteLOL...yeah!
ReplyDeleteI only gave the emotional lesson, for pratical lesson,as you said: inform at least to a person about where you're going. Bring sharp multi-purpose knife [checked!] and bring extra water supply!
and oh...before you want to commit self surgery, make sure your veins are dead on that organ [just like what Aron did :D]
and now I'm a doctor! LOL
