Quicky

*tumpang lalu, lap2 habuk dulu..uhuk2 batuk..tebal 2 inci*

Assalamualaikum,

So how is everyone doing?  [deluded question]

For Muslim readers, how is your Ramadhan up until now? GOOD? InshaAllah kheir =)

It's been a while since my last post. Quite busy with work and stuff. Wanted to decrease the social networking addict syndrome hence, the MIA.

Many things have happened throughout this two weeks, right? And unfortunately, most of them are the scary ones:

- single lady killed
-dead body parts were found in a collapsed toilet
-now all PATI can be a legal part of Malaysia, *ptffff*
-the massive riot in London and other areas [including Manchester,sobs2]
-Libya

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'un....

May Allah protect us from all the harmful situation, inshaAllah, ameen

tschüs!

bis wir uns wiedersehen~

On being random

Assalamualaikum and Hi all!

How are you?!  [tho I'm pretty much sure no one reads this pathetic blog anymore,LOL]

Well I'm Alhamdulillah fine!

All hyped up and randomly updating S2S for no specific reason at all.

Yesterday was Tuesday [and no I'm not tuning to RB's song] and it was a public holiday which I had but seemed not. Why was that so? Because I received a task that needed submission today and me being me I zon't like pending task so I chained my brains to the screen and my fingers were dancing on the keyboard to finish it! [albeit the fact I said I wanted to rest yesterday..]. Did go out for Sushi but that was just it...*sigh for pathetic lonesome on a holiday*

*********************************************************************************

On another random note I  would just like to share my thoughts on my favourite accents/languages...Shall we stroll now?

British accent  -without doubt 100% in love with it
Hindi/urdu - what's not to like about it?
Arabic - language of the Quran, melodious soothing pills
Spanish - La Usurpadora,Maghia Mercedes old folks tale..bahaha [speedy language]
filipino - especially when they speak English side by side
french - oui?
Korean - korean drama influence which I no longer watch
German - currently learning a bit
Japanese - currently learning a bit
Russian- currently learning a bit [ but they use Cyrillic alphabets so it's a wee bit hard for me,I'm only learning the basic phrases,as for now]
Canadian
kedahan
Kelantanese
Perak
Sarawakian

Mainly that's about some of it...Maybe I do have the linguistic love inside me after all,DUH for sure I have!

************************************************************************************

I'm very much excited with the Virtual Usrah that I am having with some beautiful ladies [tumblr friends]. The idea just popped into my head, suggested it, got some takers and we will have our first official virtual meeting this Saturday inshaAllah....Who knows, maybe I'll start loving back the actual usrah one day? Bi'iznillah~~~

Don't play dirty,please!

I personally think it is best if they put a 18SX warning sign at the beginning of the TV [thy-shall-not-be-written-of] news segment. Today was just way out of line, wayyy wayy out of line. Enough said.

Mr.Z out of nowhere made a claim that Sheikh Sudais is Wahabbi and trying to spread "wrong" ideologies.

Why are the big/well-known people becoming so clever and attention-getter-ish?!!

never insult,just be sarcastic..hoho

one positive thing that I got from watching the tv today:

"Kalau lu tgk lu susah, orang lain lagi susah" kata aunty [forgot her name] during "Bersamamu" segment. A very motivational reminder from a person whom we may see as less fortunate but still knows how to be grateful.

Oh oh....

Prince W is getting married on the 29th of April. I loved Lady D when I was little.Miss K got Lady D's ring. The people of Britain want Prince W to be their king.

the older we get, the more we realize how not all people play a clean deal...huhu...na'uzubillah min zalik

I Miss Dublin!,again

indikalam's latest entry made me melancholic for awhile :), So, don't bother wasting your time reading this entry if you are busy or wanted to read something "beneficial"...this is just a reminiscing moment for me :D

It's spring and last year, I,alhamdulillah, happened to experience it in UK and Ireland [lol, Dublin je sempat pergi].....Being there when I was little wasn't big of a help as I can't remember the exact feelings nor details except the pictures my parents took so...yeah,last year was a big luck for me *syukur* :)

It was chaotic just for the purpose of "whether I should go or not" because if you can still remember, there was the exploded volcano case last year where most airway travels were interrupted.

My bestie came first to Manchester to visit us. She was scheduled to arrive quite early so my dad told her to take the bus from the airport to the city and we'll fetch her there. AK, you still remember that windy morning when we finally met after a long separation, don't you? hehe

Had tons to talk about, went here and there, ate so many things and oh yeah, someone went crazy over long dresses/ potential engagement outfit, hohoho  [ wink2 :p]

Then,we departed and the further plan was, I repay her a visit to her place, which is, Dublin...

Surveyed the RyanAir ticketing and it was expensive at first so I just went through the page from day to day until a satisfied price came up. Parents weren't letting me go that much due to the sky weather  [the volcano thingy] but a promise is a promise, teheeee :p

Dad also extended my stay in Manchester and changed the flight date when they dropped me at the airport. After that I was all alone  [ surprisingly, I am very independent in other people's country but not my own...haha...now dah lah]

RyanAir was like Air Asia  [not that I've taken any flights with AA], the seats were first come first served basis. I sat beside a young urghh so in love couple but they were nice. The flight was so short and we boarded safely at Dublin Airport... It was night time [around 10.45pm] and OH MY GOD jauh giler nak berjalan dari plane ke counter okay!!! The officer in charge asked some questions bla3 and there was this one nonsense question,LOL  [ AK, you still remember right? not gonna disclose it here]

Ada orang sampai lambat despite the fact I was a first timer there and it was late at night, grrrr! [but I wasn't mad lah :p]  Took the last bus trip and it stopped in the middle of the city...Mesmerized with the buildings already, took a taxi back to her house, ate dinner, and zZzzz...

Next morning, it was "PUSING2 SAMPAI KAKI TERCABUT DAY"...haha...AK made breakfast  [if I can still remember, it was fries, salami and...bread] and we packed the leftovers and brought it with us  [which then was our lunch at the park and a bribe to the squirrel].

We walked from her house...YES,Walked...HAHA.... went pass the Dublin Mosque which was a little church before, her school, the medical schools and first stop was, Stephen Green's Park. Activities involved: taking pictures, camwhored, sat on the benches and admiring the cute babies with their parents, excetera2

Next stop was; Botanical Garden but before that, we went to buy some souviniers for my family, drinks to quench our thirsts and also ramlers  [mcm kad touch & go utk bas]. Asked direction from someone because someone didn't know the whereabouts of that garden....hahaha...took the bus and we arrived at National Botanical Garden:

welcome to earthly paradise

where to go first?

dua jam "berehat" di bawah pokok ni :D

subhanAllah

Selangor much?

squirrel makan fries

We didn't manage to go to Pheonix park as it was evening already and I was told that it's a huge park! Patah kaki den nanti...so we went  back to the city, changed some money, walked some more and AK treated me with the 6.5 Euro buffet... Saw some fellow Malays, and it was time for us to............

this was second round!!hohohoho

some more pictures....

so sad cannot enter this library! it was a longgg queue :(

as stated

We arrived at her house late evening...................and the next morning it was time for me to say "baibai"

Oh I so miss that place!!!!

Hope I'll have the chance to visit there again in the future, inshaAllah....harap2 bakal akauntan kita leh sponsor penginapan ke?hehehe...next time I go, I want to make it a long trip, and I want to visit the big cliff in Galway.

hmmm...so enough ranting....tasks arrived in my mail already, gotta go!

Do you part =)

Succeeded with Earth Hour,yeay!! =)

You may say "oh,what difference does it make just by switching everything off for just an hour?!"

Well, it may not really "save" the earth but it helps create an AWARENESS of how much we have wasted that leads to the slow destruction of mother earth.

I've been doing this for a couple of years now and this is the first time I've done it outside of campus, not that great, I only saw a couple of neighbours who switched off their lights and fans and went outside the balcony to enjoy the beautiful bright sky  [the sky is so bright these days....I only spotted some stars...not much ].

So, I've done my part, did you?!

special dedication to AK in Dublin:  If you're reading this, do switch off your lights for an hour tonight and well....do something besides studying....rest for a while lah!,don't tensi2 your mind too much...you might catch a brain cramp,LOL!!! JK!!! :P

you deactivating your fb, me not active on skype during weekends, when will we eva meet virtually?!!!hahaha

apa yg berlaku ni,patut kt ambil iktibar, muhasabah diri, bukan dok p cari cara2 nk elakkan dari berlaku kat Malaysia [diri sendiri],na'uzubillah

for Libya

Besides reblogging posts that are so relevant to me, why I love tumblr is because, it's the fastest medium to keep me updated with what's happening around the world. And now, it's Libya's time:

READING

It feels good to know people from all over the world are self-conscious about it  [sadly, ain't happening in fb] and trying to help by creating self-awareness. And it helps me too.

Alhamdulillah.

My prayers are with you, Libya and others.

Let's open our eyes very wide to the reality of life......And contribute as much as we can. The power of the 'pen' is very significant for all you can know~~

Iftar at the Central Mosque

my school!

All pictures were taken from mr.Google. Gosh I really miss Glasgow....Anyone out there who went to the same school with me  [1993-1996]? I only got in-touch with my used to be best friend, Anjali  but that's about it.....huhu....I can still remember some faces like the teachers, janitor and friends.

The place where I got to master an accent   [which I no longer have]
The place where I learnt how to eat ice-cream during winter  [loved it!]
The place where I learnt how to socialize in different cultures  [sometimes I go back to my friends houses without my dad's consent....jahatnya!]
The place where I did so many mischievous things with my gang!
The place where I got involved in celebrating all those X-Mas,Easter,Halloween
The place where we would go for daily tour to places [including churches, temples, fire station, botanical park, museum, etc]

I could go forever so I'd better stop lah....

P/S: Mrs.Eizaz, this is for you too =)

Quoting Gaza TV New status update:  "The streets of Gaza are filled with thousands of people celebrating the end of 30 cruel years of rule by the brutal dictator, Hosni Mubarak. Lets hope the gates at Rafah will now open for good, and the Palestinians who have had to live in exile at Mubaraks hand can return, and those who couldn't leave, can now travel freely. May the Rafah Gates open for good, for the sake of humanity".

Alhamdulillah

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.....

First and foremost,

Alhamdulillah!

The Internet connection in Egypt is already back in service. Just had a communication with my colleagues over there :)

The trending in Twitter says that Mubarak announces that he will step down but don't know the validity of that story yet.

Malaysian students are being removed to neighbouring countries and ready to fly back to Malaysia. I'm envious that they are getting months and even one year's worth of holiday. From the emails I've received,Wallahi,I'm envious that they were chosen to experience such situation, just like in Palestine [says them]

Foreigners are getting out from Egypt but Egyptians living outside are coming back to join the reformation.

Praying for the best over there and Hosni Mubarak should really step down, like for real:

go get some rest already

The weather in Malaysia has also improved and the sun is shining brightly. Hopefully, everything's fine in Johor and other states affected by the heavy rain/flood, inshaAllah.

Tomorrow marks my first holiday as an employee. Uberly excited! Got no plans yet but I am so gonna finish reading House Rules  [ter-pending di tgh2 cerita ohh ]

Never forget to extend our prayers for the well-being of everyone out there.

Updates

It has been raining for 3 days already here in Malaysia. In some states there has also been a big flood where the people had to be removed from their respected houses. May Allah help ease their difficulties a bit and may they be patient. Don't play with the water coz you might catch any unwanted diseases  [ ok I don't know whom I'm addressing this to, just a random reminder spoken by the tee-vee]

So, the election in TENANG already saw a winner. Shortly after that, petrol price increased yet another 10cents. That's too little, why not go up to RM1 already? aish2, pity those who suffer due to this increment. I know because I listen. You [yg menaikkan harga] should do a heart-2-heart conversation with the common people who have cars and use it daily. Not every state has LRT's,KTM's and public buses [that is actually visible on the road] so consider that too. Oh wrong emotions injected, I was supposed to 'support' the increment, haha and it has never been something new actually. Patience my fellow friends.

Ok, today's a holiday for KL-ans,wehoo! Can't wait for this coming Thursday and Friday but regardless, I've been out of tasks from Friday due to the conditions in Egypt. Still haven't received any news from my superiors. The Malaysian students have been transferred out from Egypt so alhamdulillah on that part. Hope everyone are safe and sound inshaAllah.

what to say when it rains?

It's 1 February already!

Rights of the Righteous

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

As we all should be aware of, the situation in Egypt has turned from bad to worst. It has even spread to other parts of the Middle East countries. This spirit of freedom is somehow outbursting from all parts of the countries.

A short vid clip about the chronology of what's happening  : HERE

Under the reign of Hosni Mubarak [for 30 years!], they have been denied of their total rights as the citizens. Not only that, being the ally of the West [u know who], the government [under his rule] has been denying the rights of Rafah where help cannot be transferred there. It's like having a blood related brother trying to sell of his own brother  [Muslim country helping the West to overtake the other Muslim country]

Some readings: HERE, HERE, HERE

It's a common fact that whenever a supposed-to-be peaceful demo turns out riotous, it must be because of the police force. Releasing all the tear gas and whatnot bullets and then accusing the people had turned out violent and aggressive.

This situation of wanting the government particularly H.B to step down might set a new ambiance to the whole crisis. The freedom of Al-Quds like we have been anticipating for all this while And I quote some spirited statuses from Ustaz Hasrizal:

Riot is not an easy option. People will only take to streets when they lost their confidence in the system and the politicians. Egypt is a strong reminder to those in power who shamelessly abuse our system!

Menjatuhkan Hosni Ghair Mubarak, bukan hanya untuk memulihkan Mesir, malah untuk membuka sekatan di Rafah! Palestin.... you'll find the way! Keep praying...  [translation: taking down Hosni Ghair mubarak is not only to improve Egypt, but also to open back the blocked passage in Rafah! ]

We still can't get through to the people there. The Internet is still down, miraculously, 'someone' released the prisoners and gave them weapons to run amok in the streets. The police aren't patrolling. People not involved in the riot are hiding in their homes fearing that someone would come knock their doors and rob them   [ whom? wallahu 'alam]. I got to know this from some friends, they hear gunshots most of the time right before their ears. Food supplies, water supplies have been cut down. For so many years, the Palestinians have been experiencing this situation. This might whisper the spirit of solidarity on a new level. Not just saying that we support our brothers and sisters but actually experiencing the same feeling  [ I guess]. Regardless, I do pray for their safety and well-being.

God knows until when this situation will prolong. At least until the people's demand is commenced. For Hosni Mubarak to step down. Enough is enough with your dictatorship. Enough is enough with your disloyalty towards your own people. Please step down nice and quietly already!

Those not affected, at least try to acknowledge this situation and know the truth about our brothers and sisters in Islam. Don't be so ignorant just because we are SO FAR away and that we should not bother [ no offense but I am quite disappointed by some people who's making fun about this matter]. This is a matter of solidarity among the Muslims throughout the world so please be a bit conscientious. [a reminder to myself]

Peace for freedom, inshaAllah!

Allahu musta'an....May He help those in the righteous path, ameen~

Really worried about my friends and colleagues over there. Looking at the situation just now, it seems out of control. T_T

3)  Surprisingly, I received an email from the Prime Minister wishing a very happy CNY holiday. I was like  "awkward moment alert!". Are we being spied on?  o_O...wehoooo~~~

On the other side of the world

If you have been following the world news, you might know what's happening in the Middle East. The latest update would be what's happening now in Egypt. I saw some trending in twitter and tumblr posts about the situation.

You can read it : HERE, HERE

No wonder my superiors were a bit quiet throughout this week. I don't want to jump any further into this matter but I do hope that everything will turn out well inshaAllah. Heard that there will be a BIG riot/demo after Jumaah Prayer [their time] today. UPDATED: I just got info from my colleague that my superiors can't work today. Maybe due to Internet disconnection and the riot...Hope everything is fine over there

On another side, I just saw this touching video. Very rare for me to post such thing but I just can't help not sharing it with others. I think this is so beautiful, in every possible way ^^

Travelling

I was blog-hopping just now and stumbled upon a popular blogger's blog. She wrote about her trip to dot3 country where she is travelling alone using her own money that she earned from her part time job throughout the whole 2010 [okay, siapa tahu blog sape sila diam2 saja]

My point is: I so want to do that! I've experienced travelling alone before and it was fun! well, provided that the place I'm aiming for should have someone I know to tour me around and provide me a place to crash at. Yes, I also know the fact that, it is not so good to travel alone for a girl [urghhh! you're not young anymore], I mean for a sophisticated lady but it's just something that I want to do. One thing's for sure though, I'll be doing my Masters alone inshaAllah so that counts as travelling alone too! [ayat sedap hati sendiri]

Anyhoos, I once did a mind-mapping of what I want to achieve [you know, just like what Fahri 'ayat2 cinta' did] and I did cloud "TRAVEL" in that map. The budget that I put in that cloud was, RM10K ....cukup x ek?

My imaginary travel tour would be in: either; NZ [as in New Zealand, not NZ curry house wangsa maju tuh!], Germany, Italy [ influenced by eah], Al-Hambra [ forgot the country, go google plizz], Switzerland, Spain [ I always assume that spain, germany and italy are the same countries, don't know why], Korea [ a bit difficult due to language constraints but no worries!], Canada [wanna find my long lost teacher back then in Glasgow] and last but not least, IRELAND!

So many countries ah! Must marry billionaire if I have such cravings mustn't I? dushhh!! That's just imaginary lah but bi'iznillah, might be one day I will be able to travel the whole world in 40 Days XD

Why didn't I put UK in my list? Because UK would be the place I'll be a PR so no need to travel there....hahahaha....so vain! If you see me wander around in Msia in 20years time, please invite me for a paintball game and shoot me as many as you can!   [ok, still in dreaming mode.......about to end............]

Back to reality. I have a longggg way to collect money. Priorities come first so travelling must wait. But I'll be patient, no biggies :)

Dream big, efforts must be bigger

Another reality, esok cuti weyh! alhamdulillah.....I received my first salary just now so was thinking to treat family to something yummeyh! FAMILY IS MY PRIORITY, period.

Move on

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

[bits and pieces of 'The Climb']

Inspired from the late Mas Afzal who....until his last breath succeeded in keeping his faith in Allah....inspiring so many people that no matter how life knocks you down, you've gotta keep moving on....with the life Allah has given you itself is a priceless gift.

With life and everything that Allah has lent me......alhamdulillah

Recharge and let's keep moving on! ^^

Life is also war, storm and flood

Bismillahirrohmanirrohim,

The north part of Malaysia is being tested with a heavy flood:

refer:  here

Happened to noticed some Muslim lad and lasses celebrating Halloween the other day.

Bribery here and there.

Ruthless killings here and there.

Dirty politics.

Now you do the maths.

Allah sends His 'signs' not to burden people out of their capabilities but to remind them [us] of how far we are from Him and what are we doing to ourselves.

Praise be to Him who did not send his 'signs' like the previous people where earth were sank to its root leaving only the believers.

Would we only realize if that day comes?

I am so ashamed of myself. Is this me being a vicegerent on earth?   [ let us all ask this question to ourselves]

Life on this earth is not forever. Gain everything [material] that you want, do anything that you want, but in the end when your turn is up to meet back the ground, you'll only bring with you your deeds. And what did you prepare for it?

May Allah ease their pains in the affected areas and also those in Indonesia whom are affected by the spewing volcano of 'Gunung Merapi', the Palestinians and everyone whom are battling with their life conditions. May Allah forgive us all, ameen
